A new year can't start without any outrageous family gatherings. Now that we've had our party at the beach, our 2010 has started! The family picnic was definitely a lively event and it is going to be one of the most memorable gatherings this year. What makes it even more special is that almost all of our uncles, aunts and cousins were there!

It started off with a rainy day but fortunately the rain stopped and the sun shined. It was a lovely day to have a picnic. The weather was perfect. It's not too hot for us to play in the sun. The foods were all delicious and mouth-watering. We had Aziz and Rafie to play the guitar and sing for us, chefs to make our food and cousins to rock with! :D

The pictures below will tell you how much fun we had that day! Enjoy! :D

Arsyad was very excited! When he arrived, he straight away played in the water. He enjoyed the water so much that he got upset when one of us lied to him that he had to go home.

The man who made it all happened! One who made the kitchen and toilet. Flushed toilet to be exact. Thanks to him, everyone was comfortable at the beach :D

It's awesome to finally had a family picnic at the beach once again! batah sudah inda picnic macam ane!

We did real cooking there at the beach. Bukan menyalai saja! :p

This is the most unique part!! That's babu and bapa menumpah ambuyat!! Tell me, have you ever seen people making ambuyat at the beach?!? hahah.

AHLAN WASAHLAN! kaifa haluq?? :D i think that is selamat datang and how are you in Arabic..i'm not so sure myself :D

Just a few days after the Kuching Trip, Babu and Bapa brought me to Saudi Arabia. It was a very great experience. no, great is too weak.. i'd say it was overwhelming, breathtaking, magnificent, an astonishing trip ever and it was definitely something else.

Thanks to the HTH Travel Agency, everything was a flow and they managed to make it a remarkable and a memorable trip for us :) The Jema'ah made the trip extra fun as well! Without any further ado, i would love to share with you about my trip with the pictures below :)

As we reached Jeddah, we took the bus to go to Madinah and it took us about 5 hours to reach there!

The Greatest Cake in the world!! I tasted it in Haugesund and tried baking it back in UK but did'nt really succeed... It was my first try..but it tasted Great anyway!! ehe :D:D I made the filling too runny..it is suppose to be creamy like. :( oh well.. my fault! anywaayy..here it is!!

While the family in Brunei enjoying the sun with a picnic that I envy a lot,this year I spent my winter holiday at a Norwegian home, Ann Kristin Simonsen, A great friend whom was an exchange student to my uni. (Newcastle University Upon Tyne) in 2008/09. South-west of Norway, Karmøy is a peaceful area, very quiet and relaxing!!

A perfect break from the stressful days of uni. & city!

I have posted more pictures on facebook.

I woke up from a silent night and have breakfast in the living room. The view outside is not the usual highways,

cars, buses, noises!! Very relaxing environment!

and when it snows it gets better!!

Landed at Haugesund airport from London Stansted and stayed 5 days in Karmøy. We took day trips to Stavanger and Haugesund. Many thanks to Trygve, Ann Kristin and Family for bringging us around.

First dinner, we had smoked salmons with salads.

First day, we took a boat trip to Stavanger with breath-taking sceneries.

In Stavanger, we had a tour around the town that seem to look like a 'playhouse town' and made few stops for the lake, church, market and oil museum. We also had an amazing crusted margherita pizza at Dolly Dimples Pizza Pizza.

Third day we went to the coast and Haugesund town! There we had the Verdens Beste!

The next morning, we woke with thick snow outside the house. So we decided to visit Kristin's families!!

Before our flight we managed to get to the Viking Museum!

Alhamdulillah, it was a perfect uni. break ever! There are more photos on facebook. I miss Norway soo much that I hope I will visit them again next time. With this post, I would like to say Happy New Year 2010! Mudah-mudahan semua sihat sejahtera, di murahkan rezeki selalu, panjang umur dan sentiasa hidup aman damai bahagia and cemerlang!!

Alhamdulillah.. I am safe back in Newcastle from my holiday. The snow was amaazzing but I love the food better. So, before I blog about my wonderful vacation I would like to blog the food I 'tasted' (ATE) in Norway and made it in Newcastle. yeap! I am currently suffering from the Norway sickness!!

So here it is!! A wonderful dessert Ris Krem = Rice Cream!!

We did'nt have the patience to get caramel sauce from the store so made some myself!!

Mereka mendeklamasikan sebuah sajak yang bertajuk Salam Merdeka, hasil nukilan Yura Halim dan telah mendapat tempat ke-tiga dalam pertandingan tersebut.

Jajan n Mimah, are in Brunei for the whole month of this year Ramadhan. Last year in Newcastle, we did some preparations for Hari Raya like making satay, this year, we are back to help our mother with her business. It's like a tradition. To fill in our days before baduk.

For this year Hari Raya, Babu have looked into new recipes and found one which we think it's cute! Mushroom biscuits!

Alhamdulillah, we have reached the 12th day of Ramadan (2nd. September, 2009). Mudah-mudahan semua sentiasa sihat sejahtera, murah rezeki, cerah masa depan dan dipanjangkan umur. amiin.. Rusli Morni, our father was from the Tutong District and on the 7th day of Ramadan we break our fast at the kampong he grew up, Kampong Sengkarai Tutong. For the first time we had our Sungkai and Terawih di rumah Tutong.

Imam was his 2nd brother, Hj Junaidi.

Hadi - Bilal.

His sisters, ipar(s), niece, children and Wife! In Tutong, Niece and nephews refers him as 'Olong' whereas his siblings and ipar(s) call him 'sinung'.

Our Tutong house has this beautiful traditional architecture which makes it very special.

Alhamdulillah, syukur, I've graduated on 20th July 2009 from Northumbria University at Newcastle. I am now an official Biotechnologist and ready to serve you! ;p

Thank you to my family and my friends for the support and prayers. The past three years are the best years of my life!

To my friends from INTI, Malaysia, where ever you are, all of u will always be in my heart. I will never forget all the great times we had. Our trips to Genting Highland and Cameron were so much fun! U guys taught me a lot. To Audrey, thx for being there for me, during my ups and downs, in INTI. You've been the best.Hope to stay in touch with each and everyone of you. Come to Brunei someday ;)

Our makan moments, sing stars, movie nights, sports, trips, parties, everything were awesome! The most memorable things during my study years. Jajah sayang kamu! Things will be different now but i hope we will be brada for life! As we spent many times together i would like to apologise if happened Jajah ada salah laku, kasar bahasa, kasar peibunan and terusik hati kamu smua sama ada sengaja atau pun inda. Jajah went to Manchester from Stafford. I was welcomed by two friends upon arrival at the train station and we were invited for soto! Rezeki, Alhamdulillah. =D

It was actually my second visit to Manchester, I didnt have much time to go ard much during my first time but this round, I had the chance to tour the Old Trafford Stadium, Manchester United Football Club stadium, bapa's favourite football team. Since it's father's day, this post is specially for our dad, Hj Rusli Hj Morni. =D

We went to South Shields to pay Abang Shamsul basar, Abang Shamsul damit and Amin a visit.They served us a very delightful Nasi Katok, Ikan rebus, Sambal udang, Sayur petola, Jaruk for lunch. Thank you very much to them.

South Shields is filled with amaaaazzingg fun fair which we enjoyed and won 450 tickets from the arcade and in return we got 2 kites and 2 gliders that we played at the beach!! We brought egg sandwich, bingka susu, and mango for picnic. Farid went fishing but no fish caught because we were so loud teasing each other, laughing and sharing jokes.

We don't eat all the time, we do some exercise and sports too! We keep things balance. Last Friday we played football with the boys at Benwell. Mimah and Jam in one team while Jajah and Nadz in another one. Us, girls played as strikers for our teams.

Jajah and Mimah, your two adorable sisters here in Newcastle are proud to inform you that we both successfully baked your favourite dessert which you have known as Ultimate Chocolate. However, in the UK they named it Chocolate fondant pudding. It was very delish! We'll bake for you when we are back. For the moment, enjoy the pictures.

We enjoyed the puddings while watching Man U against Arsenal. In addition to it, we had Nachos and strawberry dipped with chocolate. We feel so fat but it's okay because Man U won the league.

Mun's Day

Last Sunday was Mun's birthday. So as usual, we had a celebration at midnight and turned her into a clown! She was asked to skip for 21 times, blow balloons and got sprayed. Our menu were Bee-Aye's finger food and hotdogs because we craved for DQ n 1901, Farid's hazelnut milkshake and...........*see below*.

It was a last minute thing just like us doing last minute work. Hehe. Lenz n I wanted to hang out n celebrate after handing in our final year project report and our last assignment. We suddenly came up with Nasi Lemak the night before the deadline for Analytical and immunological methods assignment submission. So after submitting my very last coursework, I went straight to Lenz's house in Heaton. Once I entered the house I could smell the scent of belacan! =D We had ayam rendang ala cina, sayur masak belacan and acar as condiments.

Coursework have finished leaving us with exams. Hope we get good results and graduate with Honour. Amin!

Kami ke Cardiff jumpa Azimah!! Woohoo~ Dari Newcastle ke London lapas tu ke Cardiff. Cardiff is in Wales, also part of the UK. 5 to 6 hours journey by train. Jauh perjalanan kami. From up North to down South. Nasib singgah di London dulu. It was tiring but fun! Stayed over for 2 nights at Jimah's. Macam di Brunei rasanyaaaa. Rindu ehhh. Zimah masakkn kami for dinner. Steady masakkan muu zim esp ur pizza ;D Thanks a lot Zim. Nanti ke Newcastle lagi kau masak ahh. Haha. Kidding love. We celebrated Hafiy's birthday that night. Tapi Si Jimah punya pasal Nawi n Ajis pun bday n Jajah bday lagi skli! Mcm hari jadi sedunia. Hehe.

Sehari lapas dari Paris, Mimah n Jajah ke Cardiff kan jumpa our cousin, Azimah and also Jajah's friends in Cardiff, tapi sebelum atu kami singgah di London dulu. Jajah jumpa kawan Jajah masa di INTI Malaysia, Yeng Chung. Ia belajar di Herdfortshire. Kami memang plan ke London kan jalan sama-sama.

Kami makan di restoran Malaysia, Jom Makan. Between 2pm-7pm semua harga main coursenya 5 pounds saja. Kami order nasi ayam percik, nasi goreng kampung, nasi beryani kambing n mee hailam. Nyaman makanannya. Kan order lain lagi macam asam laksa n mee bandung tapi nasib nda jadi, pasal kanyang. Nafsu jua banar. Kami terseliur sago gula melaka so, we ordered one for dessert. =D

Kami terjumpa kami punya favourite food masa kanak-kanak. Freeze dried ice-cream!!! Kalau dulu takut kan makan sebab inda mau habiskan. Haha. Mahal ahh. Satu packet damit saja isinya 4 pound 20 p! Geyyyla. Kami bali satu saja, tapi puas hatilah sebab rasanya sama masehhh. Nyamaaann. Lihat muka Mimah! Hehe.

Kami cari Hummingbird Bakery and kami jumpa! Kami bali cupcakes Red velvet, Bling-bling and Chocolate. Red velvet nya paling nyaman. N of course we had Krispy Kreme doughnut and also macaroon from Paul walaupun baru makan masa di Paris. Di Newcastle nada bah semua ani, yatah masanya. ;D

Our easter holiday was gooodd! But I am pretty sure that it will never be as good as holiday with Bapa, Babu and Madah around. Group of 7 - Jajah, Nadz, Sharon, Nawi, Zul, Amal and Mimah checked in at 'My Suite Inn' an appart-hotel in 'Torcy' (RER, LINE A stop towards DisneyLand). It was unfortunately hectic on our first day. The RER from the airport does not go direct to 'Chatelet', so we had to change at 'Gare De Nord' when things got more confusing :S.. Alhamdulillah, we suceeded purchasing a transport pass there. As we arrived at Torcy, it was another adventure exploring the area looking for our accomodation. Great! our accomodation compound and rooms were amaazziingggg!! However, the service was not satisfying. :S

- At Eiffel, we bought alot of goodies which includes laser, key chainSSSS, Eiffel MinituresSSS and Roses! We also grabbed the chance to experience the romantic night scene beside the twinkling Eiffel.

Mickey and Friends! and the parade were amaazzinnggg! Our last evening in Torcy was the most memorable day for all of us. Torcy stop is the nearest to Bay 1 where there are plenty of restaurants and a cinema. YAY!!! Chick n Go fastfood restaurant is HALAL and can be found there at a very reasonable price! Alhamdulillah, we enjoyed Delicious Fried Chickens in Paris!

Cruise to Amsterdam and back to Newcastle was a wonderful experience. We departed from Newcastle at 5pm on Saturday and arrived Amsterdam at 10am Sunday. We only spent half day in Amsterdam then we went back to the cruise ship at 5pm Amsterdam time. There are entertainments that helped us to spend our time on board. On our way back to Newcastle we had buffet for dinner that cost us 31 euros! Expensive but worth it since they served good food especially the seafood =D

It was a random plan. We suddenly decided to go shopping at the Designer Outlet in York since it's an Easter sales now. Bob, Bee Aye, Nadz, Jam, Fizah n Jajah took the 7.40 am train to York. It was abt an hour journey. The outlet opens at 10am. We were there early so we had breakfast to fill us up before going for "exercise" and walked ard the city to warm up ourselves. We started our "exercise" ard 11 and finished ard five. 6 hours exercise but with lunch break n ice cream break in between =D Then, we continue exploring York after the "exercise". Other than shopping, York is also a beautiful place for sight-seeing.

On the way kn breakfast, kami jumpa Akbar's The Restaurant which reminded us of Akhbar Ria di Brunei. Kami terseliur roti kosong & teh tarik! Sia2pun.

Lapas minum, kami jln2 sebab masih awal utk ke outlet. So we took the chance to walk at the City Wall. This wall separates the City n the outskirt. Bob ckp kononnya city atu castle so the Wall is protecting the castle plus their cathedral is inside the city, so durang jaga cathedral atu. Ada2 sj. Hehe.

Durham is located 10 minutes away from Newcastle Upon Tyne. It is an amazing town that will only cost us 3.70pounds for a day return ticket with railcard. Jam, Omeh, Fizah, Farid, Halim, Helda and I went there last Saturday!

The Unusual Food

The title says it all. After playing badminton last week at Benwell sports court Newcastle, unusual food was served at 24, Brighton Grove. Halim from london was here! He could not believe he was eating salad with Malays! LOL The usual dishes serves at Bob's Playboy Mansion will consist of meat. But the GREENS?? I hardly see it :P hahahahah anyway.. Pictures!!

The story behind this is one of the oldest people (:P) in that house was experiencing chest pain.. So we decided to consume healthy food! Hopefully, all the Bruneians living abroad will always be in good health and mind.

We had icebergs, lettuce, cherry tomato, carrots, brocolli and cauliflower with salad toppings, olive oil, mayo, lemon juice, seafood and salad cream.
